Harkins got absolutely slaughtered on here by numerous folk. I think even Georgi got stick. It's only once these players are gone that folk start to appreciate what they brought to the team, so I don't pay too much attention to what other fans say.

Gav Rae was under appreciated i felt by dees  , never really heard Giorgi get pelters then again he was a magician imo

I loved Thomson CC and he gave us some great moments. KT played a big role in our first derby win in 10 years and he was outstanding in the 4-0 humping of Killie and the thrilling 3-3 at Pittodrie.

I just remember the constant attacks on him as a "wage thief" on here when he was injured so I suppose I consider him a disappointment when speaking for the wider Dundee support. A lot of people just never warmed to him and were glad to see the back of him. I think folk resented him as a former Rangers player who was often not available to play for us.

Having a box to box midfielder like Rae in his prime would do wonders for our current team!

As for Giorgi, I wouldn't say he got pelters but defo remember a few moans and groans now and again through frustration for his stubbornness to try and beat another man instead of having a pop at goal.

Artero was a favourite for the boo boys back then along with Sara after his first season with us.

This is good news. Woods might not be a world beater as an earlier poster said, but it shows that JM is aware of our problems and has identified an experienced spl out of contract player that cannae be any worse than what we have. Personal issues with the player have been swiftly resolved and Woods should be delighted to get another crack at the top league in Scottish football so lets hope he gets stuck in and makes an impression.

Aye see yer point , i wasnt a fan of him personally on the fact that i think he didnt care for club , he`d pull out for any reason and when he threw the captains armband etc , he really could have cared less about Dundee but as a player i thought he was a class above but difficult for me to go overboard on him cos of his attitude towards us.

Ohh how we could do with a Gav Rae in our side now.
Aye a can mind now few groans re Nemsadze not taking a shot now you say , tho cant mind hearing boos for Artero but do mind Sara getting pelters (unfairly imo)

I was a big admirer of Thomson and Stewart in terms of their talent but they're never going to enter the Hall of Fame. They seemed to lack any appreciation for the club and fans IMO. Caniggia was 10x the player of those two and showed us greater respect. Harkins maybe wasn't international class but he was a proper Dee who hated the dabs and oozed class on his day so he's a bit of a legend in my book.
