I understand that it is JM's decision to make Woods the primary dead ball player, but I honestly do not remember once where we have scored from a free-kick or the corners we have had that have come to nothing because they were that bad.

Surely we have better dead ball players who could take the free-kicks (Like Wright today) or corners?

I get the impression sometimes that Woods just needs to feel involved or get involved in a 'I'll write the theme tune and sing the theme tune' sort of way. 😀

Yes, but you need to be a good song writer or singer to be able to do this! And clearly he isn't that great at either of them, but he isn't the worst either.

No he isn't the worst and from memory he did put in a couple of half decent crosses today but I cant shake the feeling it was more through luck than judgement.  Nothing wrong with wanting to get involved in the game either although I'll start to worry when he starts taking our goal kicks as well.

Actually I have been waiting on him taking over the goal kicks either lol

But we really need to change up our free-kicks and corners and I hope that JM had his eyes opened today and let other players get a chance to improve this part of our game.

One thing I'll day for Kusunga today is, despite looking really awkward with controlling the ball on that pitch, him and Ryan McGowan did actually have a superb line and it was the first game in a while where the defense seemed in sync with each other in that sense.

I know that's no use if he's then to slip on his a**e and cause a goal but I think McIntyre might be wary about changing things.

I noticed on Alba that Kusunga wasn't at fault for their goal (he seemed to get some stick on the match topic earlier), it was Woods who lost Halkett just before the head flick, probably a well practiced training move.

I think Kusunga looks more composed & organised with McGowan alongside him....he is very right-footed though, has some scary moments trying to play a ball on his left side with his right foot ;)
