Not sure if this is being discussed elsewhere on here but in tonight's Tully the bit when they have a "your view" on certain topics like dog sh**e on the pavie.. Well tonight It was about forster possibly moving clubs.. It was a disgrace of a bit of "journalism" they have trawled numerous fans site and picked 8 quotes ripping the man to bits.. I hope someone at the club gets right on the blower to the Tully demanding an explanation.. I look forward to seeing what united fans view of nicky Clark signing an extention.. f**cking rag of a paper

I don't believe anyone still reads that complete and utter dross of a 'newspaper', especially a good Dundee supporter like yourself. You'll do your blood pressure no good at all.

Take 100 lines - 'I will never again read anything that DCT publishes because every Dundee FC related story is quite simply an absolute disgrace'.

I want to see it scanned and on here by midday tomorrow or it's six of the belt.

Embarrassing they printed it

Aye I assume players tend to stay off of sites like this or the Facebook pages so they don't have to read what's said about them.. Yet here's the Tully the very same Tully who constantly go on about mental health printing things ripping a man to bits..

As a past DCT employee, I am mortified that such an article should have been published and deeply ashamed of my former employer. I know that standards set by that publication have been slipping drastically recently, but current DCT people should be squirming with embarrassment at this latest grotesque abuse of the paper's responsibilities. It's absolutely outrageous. Should be a sackable offence for whoever is responsible. We should all get on the phone to register our anger and contempt.

The Tully, and to a lesser extent The Courier, are now tabloid rags. That reaction is exactly what they want, their 'journalists' would see it as job done.

I don't think DCT are trying to run a tabloid rag at all. They might not be writing stories that we like but they get stick from United fans as well.

They are trying to find their place in the media world of football. I think they have guys like Jim Spence and Rab Douglas who seem to have a much broader understanding of the issues for all local clubs. They have others who have a much more difficult job of filling the numbers of pages that I assume the editor considers necessary to make it relevant in terms of local football coverage.

I read the Courier and see the output every day. It is obvious that there is competition among their journalists and getting a better ie more sensational story seems to me to be their problem.

We push a story about our youth programme, Gordon Strachan is a great communicator and you can bet that in the following days there will be a big spread about United's youth programme. It's just the way things are.

Picking up a story about Jordan Forster just seems a move down a slippery slope and I think Alf Resco is quite right to suggest we should register our disappointment with this particular article.

Ripping into them on social media just seems to me to be playing their game.

I know it's not fashionable to read the printed press but at least they are accountable and are much much more principled than FaceBook Twitter,  sorry they are the only social media names I am familiar with!

As a fellow former DCT employee, I agree with every word. There are a lot of current staff extremely unhappy about this as well, and rightly so.

It was a bizarre subject for a vox pop in the first place but for anyone to think it was acceptable to carry these poisonous comments is just breathtaking. What is even worse is that it then got nodded through by the senior member of the editorial staff charged with signing the paper off for the day.

I defend our local papers a lot but I’m genuinely disgusted that this made it to print.

A few of the Sports Desk have already condemned it on Twitter such as George Cran and Callum Woodger. Rightfully so. It's one thing slaughtering players on a message board (and even then, I'm not entirely comfortable with that either and I include myself having done so many times) but to publish it in the media? That's horrendous.

As an a side, I think George Cran has been the best Dundee FC reporter DC Thompson has had in many years. Certainly better than the famous few who came before him.
