I have never in my life seen such a spineless bunch of players.

As soon as there is any kind of set back they just pack it in.

Its truly shameful, Nelms should give every one of them a written warning.

In fact Keys should give Nelms a written warning as well.

Written warning....f**k all sack them if they are not putting in the effort....I can accept players not being good enough but I won't and never will accept a player giving up and not giving a f**k

That's what pissed me off the most.. losing without any fight.  I also hung around afterwards to look them in the eye when they left the ground.  Kenny Miller was hurting but most of them appeared to regard it as just another day there was no shame. Bunch of journeyman taking our money.

I think we may have a bit of a reputation in the game, where players see us as an easy ride. If they cant cut the mustard, they will get their money and can move elsewhere.

Like all team sports Football also requires not just skill but confidence to play well, yesterday we seen a very basic Livi side bursting with confidence so the executed there game plan to near perfection, on the flip side we had our bunch not sure how to lace there boots. The point I'm trying to make is not that there is an excuse for that performance but there is a reason and that is confidence/believe. Maybe it was McCanns well documented outbursts at players, maybe they are being asked to do things they know they're not capable off doing maybe the timing of the sacking but McIntyre has a massive job to put some believe back into the players and until he does we're staring relegation in the face, the saving grace is that it's only October so plenty games to try and secure 10th place at best.

I have mentioned this before. We should have focused on Scottish recruitment.

It's not all lost. Hopefully McIntrye knows what he has or hasn't now. He needs a leader on the field. Only one I can think of is ODea. Making Cammy captain was a joke. Only way out of this is to fight our way out. The Deacons, Eltons won't do that.  He is going to have to bring in players to sort that midfield out. The forwards speak for themselves but whether we can get someone is doubtful. Then there  are the fullbacks to sort. Not much  then.

O Dea back in. I think so too. Leadership on the park.

I absolutely agree re the lack of leadership on the pitch. I'd imagine Kenny Miller will be one of the manager's 'voices' on the pitch (& I noticed he was telling players what to do during the Killie game), but we are seriously lacking a 'commanding presence' (more in the Scott Brown mould).

O'Dea certainly had that in his first season, but for reasons unknown has faded a lot....fitness, timing, decision-making have all suffered, to the extent that a lot of fans see him as a bit of a potential liability now. He was also 'implicated by rumour' in a couple of issues (Austria/Portugal), which are not what you think your captain should be involved in. Gowser can be a motivating presence & always battles 100%, but he does have a self-destruct gene & can sometimes slip into having a go at team-mates in a less-than-helpful way. Meekings ought to be a leadership option, but has also followed O'Dea into erratic performances & some awful decisions.

It is, as DeeVinci points out, also a game where confidence is a huge part of performance and of onfield leadership, and maybe all 3 players I've mentioned are just needing their confidence restored....and this is reckoned to be one of JM's abilities.

If JM can't re-motivate our most likely onfield leaders, he may need to sign one in January. Someone like MacKinnon, of Hamilton? :o
