Great to hear we've signed a lad where supporters of two of his previous clubs seem to only have good things to say about him! Maybe at last a manager is doing his job?

Reverend Lovejoy Posted 17 January 2019 Report Share Posted 17 January 2019 Got to say I've got a really good feeling about this lad, not heard a bad word said about him and the Sunderland fans seem genuinely gutted.
Abernethy Dee Posted 17 January 2019 Report Share Posted 17 January 2019 Think I’m going to like this boy, welcome to Dens Andrew!
Cobra Posted 17 January 2019 Report Share Posted 17 January 2019 Looks like Jack Ross might have done us a big favour. Being a Dee, he won't have enjoyed watching our results since he turned down the job, so he'll be as keen as the rest of us to see Nelson deliver.
19seventyone Posted 17 January 2019 Report Share Posted 17 January 2019 He’ll score loads like Hemmings and we’ll be dreaming of millions until we learn that Sunderland have a buy back option for a set of trackies and mitre size 5

He comes across really well in this video... Comes across as a very 'grown up' young man, he seems to know what he wants and doesn't have his head up his a**e. Refreshing to see.

I'm convinced that there will be be a pretty sizeable sell-on clause in his contact. Sunderland haven't let a very promising young striker come up here for peanuts without inserting something in the contract. They and Jack Ross would look pretty stupid if he went on to bigger things and netted us a fortune.

If he helps save us from relegation this season, then the large sell on fee will be more than worth it in the future. Hopefully we can field a midfield that can supply our forwards and chip in with goals as well.
CW 90+3 02/05/16 Posted 17 January 2019 Report Share Posted 17 January 2019 Promising signing. Think he might do alright. Curran I'm expecting to be better than Moussa and Mendy and work his socks off. Miller will get a few goals but don't think he'll be as prolific as that short period when his ratio was sky high. Maybe another 6 or 7 goals from him. Kallman has to be fourth choice now you'd think. Works and is interested but never really looks close to scoring that one goal aside.

They're one way we can get a better standard of player with the budget that we have to work with. In a year and a half's time though when Nelson is a fan's favourite and we're struggling to agree on an extension with someone offering decent money for his services we'll be slated for agreeing to a massive sell on.
