We can all agree that things are desperate but imo we need to acknowledge it, park it and move on constructively.
The fans know it, the fans reps know it and if the recent letters are anything to go by Nelms knows it too.
There is no value in constantly repeating the same issues. Otherwise it becomes self destructive. Once all sides accept it then we take the next step and work together to resolve it.

I think we all need to stop the angries taking the lead here. That will be catastrophic. I even want to suggest that, now we know this forum is a key part of journalists' research, they stop posting their criticisms in the manner we have seen in recent years. This is a horrible thing to suggest and would kill the forum if it was permanent. But I suggest a moritorium on posts

  • expressing complaints using intemperate language,
  • making accusations against individuals without evidence,
  • making assertions as fact which are actually opinions, or
  • Generalising complaints into an everything's sh**e narrative

@JDee's post above is entirely valid and not even extreme for this forum. In fact it is the lifeblood of forums like this. However, it  could also easily be used by journalists or other commentators to justify articles like the one in the Daily Record.

We hear justifications from some posters that they are only telliing it like it is, as if it has some greater credibility over other simple opinions. It is only true that it is an opinion whichever way it is justified. We can't demand that people always find the right words and grammar to be clear about what they mean and we are all guilty posting emotionally. But maybe our moderators might introduce some temporary rules so that we don't inadvertantly destroy the club.

Again, I'm not criticsing @JDeeor any other poster. We need the range of views and opinions to give us something to keep coming back for.

However, It feels like we are coming close to a really critical junction with the club. Administration and liquidation is not impossible to see on the horizon, and there is next to no good or encouraging news  to ease the pain.

For the forum, it is testament to John and the team that it is seen as a good source of information by journalists and we have had some fantsastic discussions which have gone some way to actually influencing the process and content of negotiation with the Club. That is really powerful for a forum, I think, but with that kind of power comes a degree of responsibility (I did watch Spiderman last night, sorry for the hyperbole).

Gave you a star not because I condone any kind of monitoring or censorship but agree that we need to move away from the a’things shyte narrative.

There are lots of disagreements on here on various topics but we are aligned on the current poor state. We all get it. Let’s agree that we all agree then agree to move on.
I’m not suggesting that we turn the forum into Happy Clappers Only but fuelling the negativity isn’t helpful.

Nelms appears to be of the opinion that his particular t**d can be sold to us as something that is capable of being polished though. Previously we've bickered and fought and failed to sing from the same hymn sheet. Now we're a collective force with little or no division. There's little point in pretending anymore, we want answers, we want progress & maybe even change. Accepting the status quo because we're worried about what might happen with always leave us beaten and downtrodden. If we feel there's justification in berating the players because we pay our money and because they're expendable then I don't see why an underperforming MD shouldn't be fair game too.

A fancy post that looks like it's been written by Suzie Dent aff Countdown doesn't make it's content any more valid than anyone else's.

John Nelms needs to keep searching for a Heart Of Gold - cos I'm becoming an Old Man waiting for improvements.

Hey Hey, My My if I could get Harvest Moon into this post I would, but I can't so I'll Mellow My Mind and accept that I'm Helpless in this situation.

Oh, lonesome (me) you, don’t let it bring you down, it’s only castles burning. There comes a time when a man needs a maid.

That woud be too long for a banner, i'd just get a picture of a donkey which could be attributed to half of our squad that McPake assembled.

In our squad we have Kerr, Elliot, Lawlor, Fontaine, McDaid, Marshall, McGowan, Anderson (first year in prem), McCowan ( first year in prem), McGhee (never played CM in prem), Sheridan, Mullen who wouldn't get anywhere near a team pushing for top six.

Anderson has had a decent season and looked class in some games but still lacks physicality in games against the better teams and shouldn't be having to be relied on as a weekly starter.

Can anyone actually look at them players and say we deserve to stay up. How many managers would come into a season thinking these players are fine? That's without mentioning our best striker who started the season scoring being instantly dropped for an unfit Griffiths before being sent to Australia to bang the goals in.

McPake's management of this squad if the reason we'll be going down. Possibly the worst manager of my lifetime giving he had 3 years in charge.

Jason Cummings 9 games in Australia, 2 goals. A legend in his own mind, and obviously yours.
